Guarantee Vacuum & Sewing was the official Local sponsor For national Make a Blanket Day February 16, 2008.
People from all over the
community came together to craft blankets for children hospitalized or
otherwise in need. That day alone, nearly 1,000 homemade blankets were
constructed. For each blanket that's crafted, names are put into a
drawing for a free Janome Sewing Machine. This sewing machine, donated
by Guarantee Vacuum & Sewing, is given away on National Make a Blanket Day.
Blankets can be collected throughout the year and there is NO quantity limit
per person.
