Simplicity Synergy upright vacuum
Date Published: 5/15/06
Synergy is Simplicity's answer to the ultimate in upright vacuums. This aptly named cleaner combines the two most used vacuum cleaner motor systems, direct airflow and clean airflow.
The first system provides lots of suction, while the second makes it possible to easily use a variety of tools and efficiently filter dust particles from the air. In order to combine these two functions in one machine, Simplicity has opted to install two motors in this model--one of each type.
Secondly, Synergy is full of metal--lots of it. Just like the old days before appliances were made of cheap plastic, this model is loaded with metal parts. In fact, there is metal everywhere in this vacuum--the brushroll, the bottom plate, the foot pedal, the handle, the cord hook, the axles, and the bushings. This thing is built like a tank.
Filtration was also a big consideration in the design of this model. Due to the filter being sealed in by rubber gaskets, all the air has to pass through the seven layers of filtration. The result is that hardly any dust is redeposited in the air. The dirt stays in the bag where it belongs.
Convenient to operate, this model has a comfortable handle and bends flat to vacuum under beds, tables, and other furniture. An on/off switch on the handles lets you easily turn the brushroll off for vacuuming hard floors. Accessories include a crevice tool, an upholstery brush, and a dusting tool.
Manufactured in the United States and offered only by independent vacuum shops..
