Unlike the very basic
Introduction classes, this course goes into greater depth what the
appropriate sewing applications are for specific stitches. In this
course you will begin stitching with Stitch 1 and go through ordinary sewing
stitches, buttonholes, sew on buttons, and learn how to combine decorative
stitches to create designs, as well as use built in alphabets. The
instructor goes into detail how to care for and perform routine maintenance
on the machine, and explains the differences in various needles, how to
format ATA Cards, how to use the edit screen to set personal preferences,
and reviews stabilizer information.

Primary focus is with Embroidery as opposed to
sewing instruction. In this course the instructor shows various types
of stabilizers and their appropriate uses. She goes into step-by-step
detail how to place fabric in the hoop for desired professional appearance.
You will also learn how to combine designs and lettering on the edit screen
and then save those designs to built-in memory or onto an ATA Card, as well
as learn how to transfer designs from a CD or floppy disk to the ATA card
and then locate those designs from the ATA Card once inserted into the
machine.
