This
course is designed for those who have a manually operated JANOME machine.
(See our Mechanical Machines,
here).
Even for the most experienced seamstress or sewer, an introductory class is
beneficial for learning familiarity with a new model. No
two sewing machines are exactly alike. In this course you will learn
in step-by-step detail: how to wind a bobbin, how to thread the machine, how
to properly insert the bobbin into the bobbin case and bring the thread up
through the needle plate to begin sewing, how to adjust the length and width
of any single stitch, how to properly use a blind hem, how to do a satin
stitch for decorative edging and/or applique techniques, how to adjust
tension and stitch lengths for gathering techniques, how to do a buttonhole
and sew the actual button on to the fabric.
