Service Department


At Guarantee Vacuum & Sewing Center, we have an in-house Service Department with factory trained service technicians for both vacuum cleaners and sewing machines.  This allows us to provide our customers with the best service at the quickest turnaround rate all while keeping our prices as low as possible.  We service most makes and models of vacuums and sewing machines.  More detailed information will follow. 

Sewing Machine Service:
As with any appliance, your sewing machine will operate better with regular maintenance.  We recommend that you have your sewing machine serviced every year to maintain peak performance.  Even if you rarely use your sewing machine, you will notice that a properly maintained sewing machine is critical to completing a quality project in a timely fashion.

^ As a factory authorized dealer for Janome, Elna, Necchi and Baby Lock, we have access to the full compliment of available parts from these companies.  With all other brands, parts availability is inconsistent for us; however, if your machine requires any parts, we will happily check availability for you.


Long Arm Quilting Machine and Quilt Frame Service:
We service various makes and models of quilting machines and quilt frames on location.  We do not service any long arm quilting machines and/or frames in our shop, because transporting these items can cause additional problems.  Due to this, a Trip Fee may be applied to your repair bill.  Service for these machines/frames is done by appointment only.  Please contact us at 765.452.0044, at greg@guaranteevac.com, or at service@guaranteevac.com with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

Vacuum Cleaner Service:
Just like sewing machines, vacuum cleaners need regular maintenance, and we work on the vast majority of all name brands, including Simplicity, Dyson, Hoover, Kirby, etc.  For the most part, we will work on any vacuum cleaner for which we are able to get repair parts*.  Our service rates depend on the make and model of your vacuum as well as the repairs required.  Just bring in your vacuum cleaner, and we will give you a free estimate.^ 

We strongly recommend replacing the belt on your vacuum (if it uses a friction belt) at least once a year.  All friction belts stretch out, and as they stretch, your vacuum declines in performance.  Taking care of this inexpensive item (most friction belts are $3-$10) can ensure that your vacuum picks up more dirt each time you use it.  Also, we recommend replacing the filters on your vacuum cleaner regularly.  Much like the filters on your furnace, your vacuum's filters can get full of dirt, dust and microscopic particles, which make it difficult for your vacuum cleaner to "breathe" properly.  This is especially true for vacuums that have HEPA filters.  Changing these filters regularly will improve the suction on your vacuum cleaner.

* Companies have different policies for selling repair parts to us.  If we can get it for you, we will.  For more details, please ask your service technician, or email brad@guaranteevac.com .
^ Our free estimates include a quick diagnostic at our service counter.  If you choose not to complete the repair, there will be no charge to you for the information we give you.  If you approve the estimate, we will move forward with your repair.  If we find any additional items that need repair as we are fixing your vacuum, we will get your permission prior to making these repairs.  You may be required to pay a $20 deposit upon dropping of your vacuum for repair, which will be applied to your bill once you pick it up.  Feel free to ask for more details in regards to our estimate and deposit policies.

Carpet Extractor / Shampooer Service:
While most customers do not use their carpet cleaners nearly as often as their vacuum cleaners, regular service is still very important to the continued performance of these products.  Simply cleaning out the filters, checking belts and/or turbines, and cleaning debris out of the brush and the nozzle will make your carpet cleaner function much better.  We work on any carpet cleaners that we sell, including Hoover* and Royal models.  At this time, we do not repair any Bissell, Eureka or Rug Doctor carpet cleaners.  Labor rates are based on the job required.  Estimates are given prior to any work being performed.

* We work on Hoover carpet cleaners we have sold.  There are certain Hoover models we will not service or repair.  Generally speaking, we do not work on any Hoover that is part of the "Max Extract" line of products.  For more details, please ask your service technician, or email brad@guaranteevac.com   

Central Vacuum Service:
We will happily work on the Power Nozzle and Canister/motor unit of your central vacuum cleaner.  All you need to do is bring it into the store, and we will take care of the rest.  At this time, we do not do any house calls for central vacuum service or repair; however, most service or repair work can be completed if you bring us the above mentioned components of your central vacuum system.  Labor rates are based on the make and model of your product as well as the job required.  Estimates are given prior to any work being performed.
